Surah Al-Baqarah: My Protection
“As for those who persist in disbelief, it is the same whether you warn them or not–they will never believe.” (2:6)
One should have and show immense gratitude that they have been guided by Allah and are of the people of Deen.
- As believers, build hope in Allah and His mercy.
- Value the faith He has bestowed. Even while building hope in Allah, one should not take that hope for granted.
- The believer has to attach themselves to things such as their Salaah and Ramadan; it is a value system that exposes the mercy of Allah.
When conveying the Deen to others, an important question is: are we placing Tawakkul on ourselves, or on Allah?
‘Inzaar’ is not simply a warning; it is motivated by compassion and love. Even when the people of the Prophets (SAW) did not heed their warnings, they continued to do so out of compassion and love.
“Allah has sealed their hearts and their hearing, and their sight is covered. They will suffer a tremendous punishment.” (2:7)
- The condition of the disbelievers is that no matter how much they are shown and told, they will not accept the Truth.
- The believer should make constant Du’a to be affected by Haqq, and to bring about change that will also affect their children.
- Allah, however, is the only One Who can bring Hidayah. Iman is Allah’s grace on the believer.
